Full Stack Head of Web Engineering (.NET/C#)

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent| Hybrid

Salary: €90,000 – 100,000

Overview:

A rapidly growing European business is seeking a Full-Stack Head of Web Engineering to lead the evolution of its customer-facing web platform. The organisation is scaling fast, with consistent new market entries, and is looking for someone who can lead from the front — combining hands-on coding with technical vision and leadership.

This is a role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, is comfortable with ambiguity, and is passionate about team growth, user experience, and technical excellence.

Role Highlights:

  • Lead full-stack development efforts, actively coding and setting technical standards.
  • Guide architecture and technical decisions across a platform built on .NET / C# backends, React frontends, and hosted on Azure.
  • Design and maintain microservices architectures supporting high-scale consumer platforms.
  • Collaborate on complex third-party integrations, such as payments, APIs, and analytics.
  • Inspire and mentor a full-stack team of engineers, fostering an environment of growth and continuous improvement.
  • Balance long-term engineering health with immediate business delivery needs.
  • Work cross-functionally with product, design, and commercial teams to align engineering with business strategy.

We’re Looking For:

  • Deep experience as a full-stack engineer — ideally still actively coding.
  • Proficiency in .NET / C#, React, and Azure environments.
  • Experience designing and scaling microservices for high-traffic platforms.
  • Background in building or maintaining complex B2C platforms.
  • Experience with third-party system integrations, including payment platforms, CRMs, APIs, and analytics tools.
  • Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Ability to make pragmatic decisions balancing speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
  • Passion for coaching engineers and improving development processes.
